Before I share my understanding of energetic downloads, I want to honor the path that brought me here.
Universal Soul Matrix Reikiā¢ was not created in isolation.
It has grown from years of learning, practice, personal experience, and deep gratitude for the Reiki Masters who came before me.
The lineage I teach from begins with Dr. Mikao Usui and continues through dedicated teachers who devoted their lives to sharing Reiki with integrity and compassion. I am honored to have learned from Candace Hawkshaw, whose guidance became part of my own journey.
While Universal Soul Matrix Reikiā¢ has evolved into my own framework, its roots remain grounded in respect for the Reiki lineage that made this path possible.
š What Is an Energetic Download?
One of the questions I'm asked most often is...
"What do you mean by a download?"
It's a fair question.
The word can sound mysterious.
Some people imagine information arriving from somewhere outside themselves.
Others think it's something only a few gifted people experience.
That isn't how I understand it.
šæ I Don't Believe You're Given Wisdom
I don't believe downloads are about receiving something you didn't already have.
I don't believe a teacher gives you intuition.
I don't believe healing makes you special.
š I believe we are all born with incredible wisdom.
āØ We all have intuition.
š We all have an inner knowing.
šæ We all have the ability to heal, grow, and reconnect with ourselves.
Life simply becomes noisy.
Responsibilities.
Stress.
Fear.
Heartbreak.
People-pleasing.
Trauma.
Expectations.
Over time...
That quiet inner voice becomes harder to hear.
Not because it disappeared.
But because life became louder.

This is why I use the word *download.*
To me...
A download isn't about receiving something new.
It's about remembering something ancient.
Something deeply personal.
Something your soul has quietly carried all along.
Not because someone gave it to you.
But because you became quiet enough to remember.

š A gentle inner knowing.

The experience looks different for everyone.
There is no "right" way.
There is no perfect experience.

If you've worked with me before, you'll know I return to meditation again and again.
Not because meditation gives us answers.
But because meditation creates space.
It allows us to slow down.
To breathe.
To settle our nervous system.
To become present.

š The body begins to soften.
šæ The mind becomes quieter.

When the constant noise begins to fade, we often notice something we've overlooked for years.
Our own inner wisdom.
The answers weren't missing.
Our intuition wasn't broken.
We had simply become disconnected from it.
Meditation isn't about searching harder.
It's about becoming quiet enough to hear what has always been there.

I don't believe we need someone to give us our power.
I believe we need safe spaces where we can remember it.

Healing doesn't make us someone new.
